AVerMedia AVerTV HD DVR recently purchased for streaming. I just want to compare the video quality from both units to their maximum value, then taken to rendering bitrate of 10mb. This video may or may not help you choose between two recording devices for future purchases. Leave some comments below, because it is a help for others who might be thinking of buying both. Both are registered through the component cables and 720p resolution.AVerMedia AVerTV HD DVR has an HDMI input, but it has HDCP, which I use FRAPS to record via HDMI if I want. Here's my opinion, HD PVR is the prettiest color and brightness settings by default, but of course with Sony Vegas or advance can edit a video editing software to add the settings.===================================== Now the list of pros and cons for each device: Hauppauge HD PVR 1212: Pro: hardware encoder (requires registration for any PC / medium or high-end HD video) (side note I have my AspireOne Acer Intel Atom mini-laptop to record video before and it was only good. that when you see it in an Atom processor, then you might see lying / frame jump, but only transmit the video file to a PC better. you do not see the video, but the processor (Intel)not be able to process the frame ...
